Pantelis Pantelidis (Greek: Παντελής Παντελίδης; born November 23, 1983 – died February 18, 2016) was a very popular Greek singer, songwriter, and lyricist. He became famous for his unique voice and songs, which he often shared on YouTube. Sadly, he passed away in a car accident in 2016.

Life and Music Career

Pantelis Pantelidis was born on November 23, 1983, in Athens, Greece. He grew up in a suburb called Nea Ionia. Before becoming a music star, Pantelis worked in the Hellenic Navy. He was a non-commissioned officer, but he decided to leave that career to follow his dream of making music.

Pantelis taught himself how to play music. He became well-known by sharing his music videos on YouTube. People loved his songs, and he quickly became famous. After his YouTube success, Pantelis signed a contract with a record company. He released four albums that were very popular.

He also worked with many other Greek artists. Pantelis won several awards at the MAD Video Music Awards in Greece. He was named "best new artist" in 2013. In 2015, he won "best Greek male singer." He won this award again in 2016, after he had passed away. His family and friends accepted the award for him.

YouTube Success Story

Pantelis Pantelidis started writing his own songs when he was young. He would film himself singing and playing his acoustic guitar. He sent these videos to his friends and family. They then posted them on YouTube.

In 2012, Pantelis released a video of his song, Den Tairiazete Sou Lew. This video quickly became very popular. It reached over one million views in a short time. This huge success led to him getting a contract with a big Greek record company. His first album, released in 2012, sold so well that it went double-platinum.

His Passing

On February 18, 2016, Pantelis Pantelidis died in a car accident in Athens. He was 32 years old. The accident happened on Vouliagmenis Avenue. Two women were also in the car with him. Both of them survived the accident, but they had serious injuries. His death was a big shock to his fans and the music world.

After his death, two of his songs, "Ta Shinia Sou" and "Pino Apo 'Ki Psila Gia Sena," reached the number one spot on the Billboard "Greece Digital Songs" chart. Many of his pre-recorded songs were released after he passed away. These songs also became very popular, with millions of views on YouTube. For example, the song Thimamai has been viewed over 30 million times.
