Parc Montmorency is a special park in Quebec City, Canada. It's famous for its long history. For many years, important government meetings took place here. This park was home to the parliaments of Lower Canada, Canada East, and Quebec from 1791 to 1883.

The park is named after Henri II de Montmorency, who was the Duke of Montmorency. He served as the viceroy of New France from 1619 to 1625. A viceroy was like a high-ranking official who ruled a colony for the king, in this case, Louis XIII of France.

The park sits high above the Saint Lawrence River. It is bordered by Côte de la Montagne and Rue Port Dauphin. The last parliament building on this site was taken down in 1883. In 1894, the city opened the area as Parc Frontenac.

Today, the park has many trees and walking paths. There are signs that explain the important history of the site. In 1949, Parc Montmorency was officially recognized as a national historic site. This means it is a very important place in Canada's history.
