Park Lake is a small, nearly round freshwater lake in Orlando, Florida. It covers about 8.8 acres (3.6 hectares). The lake is surrounded by homes and buildings, making it part of a busy residential area.
Fun Things to Do at Park Lake
Park Lake is a great spot for outdoor activities. You can enjoy fishing in the lake. There are also sidewalks around much of the lake, perfect for a nice walk. On the west side, you'll find Park Lake Park, which has a playground where kids can play.
What You Can't Do
While there are fun things to do, some activities are not allowed. For safety, you cannot go swimming in Park Lake. Boating is also not permitted on the lake.
Where is Park Lake?
Park Lake is easy to find in Orlando. A major road called Colonial Drive runs along the south side of the lake. This road is one of the main routes through the city. Park Lake Park is located on the west side of the lake. You can also see a church, Park Lake Presbyterian Church, on the southwest corner of the lake. In the middle of the lake, there is a pretty fountain.
