Parramore Springs (which used to be called Paramore Spring) is a natural spring located in Lake County, California. A spring is a place where water flows out from underground onto the Earth's surface.
Where is Parramore Springs?
Parramore Springs is found about 2.25 miles (3.6 km) east of a place called Three Crossing. It sits at an elevation of 2,146 feet (654 meters) above sea level.
The Spring Itself
Around the year 1910, a person named Gerald Ashley Waring visited the area. He described Parramore Springs as being in a deep, bushy valley. It was not easy to reach.
The spring's water was cool and very "carbonated." This means it had natural bubbles, like soda water. The water came out right at the edge of a creek. Because of this, you could only get water from the spring when the creek's water level was low.
