Patricia Burda Janečková (born June 18, 1998 – died October 1, 2023) was a talented Slovak soprano singer. She was born in Germany but grew up in the Czech Republic. Patricia became well-known after winning the TV show Talentmania in 2010. Her amazing voice was even featured on CNN television!

Early Life and Music Journey
Patricia Janečková was born in Münchberg, Germany. Her parents were from Slovakia. Soon after she was born, her family moved to Ostrava in the Czech Republic.
Patricia loved singing from a very young age. She started singing when she was only four years old! After finishing primary school, she went on to study music. She attended the Janáček Conservatory in Ostrava, a special school for music.
Patricia's Singing Career
Patricia's first big performance was at the Antonín Dvořák Theatre. She sang with the famous Janáček Philharmonic Orchestra. This was a huge step for her career.
After this, she won the Talentmania TV show. This win helped her release her very first music album. In 2014, she won another important award. This was at an international singing contest in Rome, Italy. It was called the Concorso Internazionale di Musica Sacra.
In 2015, Patricia performed a song from the movie Once Upon a Time in the West. She sang it at the Rudolfinum in Prague. The audience loved her performance and gave her a standing ovation. This means everyone stood up and clapped for a long time!
While she was performing in public, Patricia also took private singing lessons. Her teacher was a famous Czech soprano named Eva Dřízgová-Jirušová. In 2017, she played the role of Galatea in an opera called Acis and Galatea. She performed with a group called Collegium Marianum at the Janáček Music Festival.
Personal Life
Patricia Janečková married an actor named Vlastimil Burda. They got married in July 2023.
Remembering Patricia
On February 10, 2022, Patricia shared some sad news on her Instagram page. She told her fans that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer. She needed to take a break from singing to focus on her health.
Patricia bravely fought her illness. She even returned to performing for a short time in 2023. Sadly, Patricia passed away from her illness on October 1, 2023. She will always be remembered for her beautiful voice and her amazing talent.
