Patrik Sjöberg is a famous Swedish former high jumper. He was born on January 5, 1965. He once held the world record in high jump, clearing an amazing 2.42 meters in Stockholm on June 30, 1987. This jump is still the European record. It also places him as one of the top high jumpers of all time.
Patrik Sjöberg also held the world indoor record twice. He jumped 2.38 meters in 1985 and 2.41 meters in 1987. He won a gold medal at the 1987 World Championships. He also earned three medals at the Olympic Games.
