Paul Crawford's Journey in Academia

Paul Crawford studied English language and literature at the University of Birmingham. He earned his first degree in 1994. Later, he completed his PhD in 1999. His PhD research was about the famous novelist William Golding.

In 2001, Crawford started working at the University of Nottingham. There, he created the Health Language Research Group. In 2008, he became the first Professor of Health Humanities anywhere in the world. Today, he leads the Centre for Social Futures at the Institute of Mental Health.
