Paul R. Jenkins (born August 2, 1938 – died July 1, 2013) was an American actor. He was known for playing many different characters in TV shows and movies.
Paul Jenkins appeared in popular films like Network and Chinatown. He also had guest roles in many TV shows. These included M*A*S*H, Columbo, Kojak, and Starsky and Hutch. He even played three different characters in The Rockford Files!
He is especially remembered for his roles as Professor Parks in The Waltons and as Eddie in Dynasty.

Paul Jenkins was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1938. When he was younger, he thought about becoming a priest. But he soon realized his true passion was acting.
He moved to New York City and started performing in plays. His first movie role was a small part in the thriller Rosemary's Baby in 1968. After that, he started working in TV shows, especially daytime dramas.
His TV Career
Paul Jenkins spent most of his career acting on television. He played all sorts of characters, from lawyers to priests and police officers. He appeared in over 40 different TV series, mostly during the 1970s.
His most famous TV roles were Professor Parks in The Waltons and Eddie in Dynasty. He played Professor Parks for five episodes between 1974 and 1976. His role as Eddie in Dynasty lasted for six episodes in one year.
He also appeared in an episode of The New Twilight Zone and had guest spots on Night Gallery and Walker, Texas Ranger.
On Stage and Screen
Paul Jenkins also had a successful career in theater. He performed in plays like The Great White Hope. He even had a main role as McMurphy in a 1970 tour of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.
He also wrote and starred in his own one-man show called A Journey for Eden. This show was based on the life of the famous writer Jack London. Paul Jenkins also directed an actor's school in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. There, he helped coach and work with other actors.
For his movie career, Paul Jenkins worked again with director Roman Polanski in 1974. He played a policeman in the film Chinatown. He also had a small role in the Oscar-winning movie Network. Other films he appeared in include Night Games (where he had a main role), Hard to Hold (1984), and Sneakers (1992).
Paul Jenkins continued acting into the 1990s and early 2000s. He retired from acting in 2005. His last role was Father Pat McGuire in an episode of the TV show Cold Case.
His Passing
Paul Jenkins passed away on July 1, 2013, at the age of 74. He had been ill for a short time.
