Pauline Boumphrey (born Pauline Firth, later Pauline Firth Haworth; 11 October 1886 – 25 January 1959) was an American sculptor. A sculptor is an artist who creates art by shaping materials. Pauline spent most of her career working in Britain.

Pauline Boumphrey was born in Boston, Massachusetts, in the United States. However, she went to school in Britain. She attended Roedean School, which is located on the south coast of England. After her education, she lived in London. Later, she moved to Sandiway in Cheshire.

Her Art and Exhibitions

Pauline Boumphrey was known for creating small statues. She also made small group compositions. These artworks were often made from bronze. Many of her pieces featured horses. These are called equine subjects.

In 1925, she received a special award. It was an honourable mention for a piece she showed. This was at the Salon des Artistes Francais in Paris. This was a very important art show.

Pauline also showed her art in other places. She exhibited works at the Royal Academy in London. She also showed her art at the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool. Her work was also displayed in Glasgow and Edinburgh.

She regularly exhibited with the Manchester Academy of Fine Arts. In 1925, she became an associate member of this Academy. One of the works she showed in Manchester was a design from 1942. It was for a war memorial. This memorial was meant to honor civilians who were victims of the Blitz. The Blitz was a series of bombings during World War II. Pauline Boumphrey passed away in New York in 1959.
