Pauline's Cycling Journey

Starting Strong: Junior Years (2009–2010)

Pauline started her amazing cycling career very early. In 2009, as a junior, she won the European time trial title in road cycling. Just a few days later, she won the junior European cross-country mountain bike championship! This was just the beginning of her winning in different bike sports.

Later that year, she won her first world title in junior cross-country mountain biking. She also won two national road titles. In 2010, she kept winning. She defended her junior mountain bike world championship title. She became only the second rider ever to hold both World Championship titles in road cycling and mountain biking in the same year.

Becoming a Professional (2011–2013)

In 2011, Pauline started racing with professional riders. She got a second place in the national cyclo-cross championships. She also did well in big road races like La Flèche Wallonne, finishing seventh. She won two rounds of the Under-23 Mountain Bike World Cup.

By the end of 2011, she signed with the Rabobank team, a big professional cycling team. In 2012, she won her first national time trial championship as an elite rider. She also won the Under-23 title in mountain biking.
