Her Family Life
Pauline's original name was Pauline Beale. She was part of the large Beale family. Her parents were Albert and Lou Beale. She had several brothers and sisters, including Pete, Kenny, Dora, Harry, Ronnie, and Maggie.
Pauline married Arthur Fowler, and they had three children together: Mark, Michelle, and Martin. Arthur passed away in 1996. Later, in 2006, Pauline married a man named Joe Macer. She also had three grandchildren: Vicki, Mark, and Rebecca. The family even had a dog named Betty!
Her Job and Friends
For many years, Pauline worked at the local launderette. This was a place where people washed their clothes. She often worked there with her good friend, Dot Branning. They shared many conversations and stories while working together.
