Peach Blossoms facts for kids
Have you ever heard of Peach Blossoms? They were a special kind of candy made by a company called Necco. This company was located in Revere, Massachusetts, in the United States. Peach Blossoms were unique because they had a yummy peanut butter filling inside a hard, crunchy candy shell. Even though they were called 'Peach Blossoms' and had colors that might remind you of peaches, they didn't actually taste like peaches at all!
These candies were made from simple ingredients like sugar, corn syrup, and ground peanuts. They also contained a little salt, glycerine, and a flavor called vanillin, along with artificial coloring to make them look appealing.
What Happened to Peach Blossoms?
Sadly, Peach Blossoms candies are not made anymore. In 2018, the company that made them, Necco, faced some financial difficulties. They decided to try and sell some of their candy brands, including Peach Blossoms. However, no one came forward to buy the Peach Blossoms brand. This meant that production of these unique candies stopped.
