History of Pechanga Resort
The Pechanga Resort & Casino first opened on June 24, 2002. It cost about $262 million to build. The resort was designed to show off the culture of the Pechanga Band of Luiseño Indians.
When it first opened, it had:
- A casino area of 85,000 square feet.
- A showroom with 1,200 seats.
- A 14-story hotel with 522 rooms.
- A convention center of 38,800 square feet.
- Seven restaurants and two lounges.
Expansions and Upgrades
In November 2004, the resort added a 100,000 square foot expansion. This new area included more gaming space and a special area for high-stakes games. It also added a food court and a poker room with 54 tables. A sports-themed restaurant called Kelsey's was also opened.
From 2015 to 2018, Pechanga completed a big $300 million expansion. This project made the hotel much larger, doubling its rooms to 1,090. The spa area also grew to 25,000 square feet. A new 40,000 square foot events center was built. They also created a large 4.5-acre tropical pool area called The Cove. This pool area has its own restaurant, a swim-up bar, three pools, two waterslides, and 27 private cabanas.
Gaming at Pechanga
The Pechanga Resort Casino has one of the largest casino floors in the United States. It covers 200,000 square feet, which is even bigger than the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The casino has over 5,000 slot machines. It also offers 152 table games, like blackjack and roulette. There's a special area for high-stakes games and private gaming rooms. Guests must be at least 21 years old to play games at the casino.

Hotel and Spa Facilities
The Pechanga Hotel has 1,090 guest rooms and suites. It also features the large 4.5-acre pool complex called The Cove. This area is about the size of five football fields. Guests can also enjoy a luxury spa and six different retail stores.
Spa Pechanga
Spa Pechanga opened in December 2017. It is a fancy, two-level spa that covers 25,000 square feet. It has 17 rooms where guests can get different treatments.
