Pejman Montazeri (Persian: پژمان منتظری, born on September 6, 1983) is a former Iranian footballer. He played as a defender. He was known for his strong defense and his time playing for top clubs in Iran and Qatar. He also played for the Iranian national team.

Club Career Highlights
Playing for Foolad
Pejman Montazeri started his professional career at Foolad. He was part of the talented team that won the Iran Pro League in 2005. This was a big achievement for the club. He also played for Foolad in the 2006 AFC Champions League, which is a major competition for clubs in Asia.
Time with Esteghlal
After Foolad was moved to a lower league, Montazeri joined Esteghlal. This is one of Iran's most famous football clubs. He quickly became a regular player for the team. During his first time at Esteghlal, he helped them win the Iran Pro League and the Hazfi Cup. He later extended his contract and helped Esteghlal win another league title in the 2012–13 season. In 2013, he also helped Esteghlal reach the semi-finals of the Asian Champions League.
Playing in Qatar
In January 2014, Montazeri moved to Qatar to play for Umm Salal. When he joined, the team was in danger of being moved to a lower league. However, with his leadership and strong play, Umm Salal avoided relegation. They finished in 7th place that season. On May 31, 2015, he signed a two-year contract with another Qatari club, Al Ahli.
Returning to Esteghlal
On June 14, Montazeri made a big move back to Esteghlal. He decided not to renew his contract with Al Ahli. He was given the number 33 shirt, which was the same number he wore during his first time playing for Esteghlal.
International Career Highlights
Pejman Montazeri also played for his country, Iran. He was part of the Iran U-23 squad that played in the 2006 Asian Games.
Debut for the Senior Team
On October 5, 2011, he played his first game for the senior Iran national team. It was against Palestine. He even scored a goal in that match, helping Iran win 7–0. He was named the Man of the Match for his excellent performance.
World Cup Appearances
Montazeri was called up to the national team by coach Carlos Queiroz for important matches. These included the 2014 World Cup qualification and the 2015 AFC Asian Cup qualification. He was chosen for Iran's squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. He played all 90 minutes in all three of Iran's matches in the group stage. Iran was eliminated in the group stage that year.
He unfortunately missed the 2015 AFC Asian Cup due to an injury. However, he was called up again for the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification. He played a key role in defense, helping Iran qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia without letting in a single goal. In May 2018, he was again part of Iran's team for the World Cup.
