The most important building in Peleas de Abajo is the parish church. It is called Our Lady of the Assumption. This church once belonged to the Knights Hospitaller. They were a famous group of knights.
Church Architecture
The church was originally built in the Romanesque style. This style was popular a long time ago. However, it was finished between the 16th and 17th centuries. It is made of strong stone blocks called ashlar stone.
