Pelechuco Municipality is a part of the Franz Tamayo Province in the La Paz Department of Bolivia. It's like a local government area. In 2001, about 5,115 people lived there. The main town, or 'seat', is called Pelechuco.
The municipality shares its borders with other areas. To the north, it meets the Apolo Municipality. To the east, it's bordered by Apolo and Curva. In the south, you'll find Curva and Charazani Municipalities. To the west, Pelechuco Municipality borders Peru.

- Pelechuco: This is the most populated canton, with 2,756 people in 2001.
- Suches: This canton had 227 people in 2001.
- Ulla Ulla: In 2001, 1,168 people lived in this canton.

- Katantica Peak: This is one of the most important peaks in the Apolobamba mountain range. It's about 5,592 meters (18,346 feet) high and is located in Pelechuco Canton.

- Queara Village: Near Pelechuco, you'll find the village of Queara. It's located in a very high part of the Madidi National Park.
