Pelican Point is a suburb located in the city of Bunbury. It is about six kilometers from the center of Bunbury. This area is next to the suburb of Eaton. Pelican Point is part of the City of Bunbury local government area.

A Look Back at Pelican Point
Pelican Point started to be built in 1997. The City of Bunbury helped create this new area. A special place called the Sanctuary Golf Resort was planned in 1994. It was designed by Michael Coate. Homes were then built around this resort. They were also built near the beautiful waterways and wetlands. Houses in Pelican Point are often more expensive than in nearby areas. For example, a house here might cost around $637,500. This is higher than in places like Eaton or Australind.

Pelican Point is surrounded by different natural features. To the west and south, there is a railway line. To the east, you will find Old Coast Road. The Leschenault Estuary is to the north and northwest. The mouth of the Collie River is also nearby. Only about one-third of Pelican Point has homes. The rest of the land is protected or used for other purposes.

Getting Around Pelican Point
Pelican Point is easy to reach by bus. Bus routes 601 (Eaton) and 701 (Australind) serve the area. These buses come from Bunbury's main bus station. The bus ride takes about 15 minutes. Bunbury City Transit operates these routes. They work for the Public Transport Authority.
