Pelle Svensson started wrestling in 1955. He competed for clubs like Sundsvalls AIK and Heby BK. He first won the Swedish Championships in 1962. He continued to win this title for thirteen years in a row! This amazing streak lasted until he retired in 1974.

His first time at the World Wrestling Championships was in 1963. He finished fourth in that competition. At the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan, Pelle won a silver medal. This was a huge achievement for him.

After his wrestling days, Svensson became the chairman of the Swedish Wrestling Federation. He held this important role from 1993 to 1998. He was also a member of the board for the International Federation of Associated Wrestling Styles (FILA). He served on this board from 1990 to 2007. Svensson left FILA because he felt they were not doing enough to keep the sport fair.

Pelle Svensson's Legal Career

After his successful wrestling career, Pelle Svensson became a lawyer. He became well-known for taking on several important legal cases.

One of his first big cases was in 1980. He helped the parents of a missing boy in a case known as "the Johan Case." He worked hard to find answers for the family.

In 1988, Svensson was the defense lawyer for a person involved in the "Åmsele Murders" case. He later wrote a book about this case in 2005. The book was called Utan nåd : grymhet utan gräns, which means "Without Mercy – Cruelty Beyond Limit."

Svensson also defended Lars Tingström, known as "the Bomb-Man." In 1996, Svensson shared parts of a document he said was from Tingström. This document was about the death of Swedish Prime Minister Olof Palme. A special investigation later confirmed the document was real. Svensson's information led to a request for a new trial in the Palme case. However, this request was turned down by the Supreme Court of Sweden.

Pelle Svensson later retired from being a full-time lawyer. However, he still took on some cases even after his retirement.
