Who is Per Morberg?
Per Morberg grew up in the areas of Hökarängen and Sköndal in Stockholm, Sweden. Even from a young age, he showed a lot of energy and talent.
Per's Early Life and Sports
When Per was a teenager, he was very good at judo, a Japanese martial art. He trained hard and earned a black belt, which is a high honor in judo. He even became the Swedish and Scandinavian champion! In 1977, he won third place at the European Cadet Championship, showing his skill on an international level.
Per's Culinary Journey
Besides sports, Per also had a passion for cooking. He went to the Kristineberg restaurant school in Stockholm to become a chef. After his training, he worked as a professional chef, creating tasty dishes. This skill would later become a big part of his public image.
Per's Acting Career Begins
Per's journey into acting started in 1982 after a theater lesson. He was encouraged to go to stage school. He studied theater and opera in Gothenburg. His first acting role was at Angered's Theatre, where he played the main character, Armand, in a play called Kameliadamen.
Touring and Famous Roles
Per toured with the National Swedish Touring Theatre, performing in many different plays. He was especially noticed for his role as Molina in Kiss of the Spider Woman. He also acted at the Royal Dramatic Theatre in plays like Dangerous Liaisons and August Strindberg's Miss Julie.
Even though he often played serious characters, Per surprised everyone with his funny role as Maximillian Detweiller in Sound of Music in 1995. This showed that he could be great at comedy too!

Per Morberg is also very well known for his role as Joakim Wersén in the Swedish crime TV shows. These shows are based on the detective character Martin Beck. He has appeared in many films and TV series over the years.
