Sir Percy Freke, 2nd Baronet (born April 30, 1700 – died April 10, 1728), was an important person in his time. He lived in West Bilney, Norfolk, and Castle Freke, County Cork. He held the title of a baronet and was also a Member of Parliament in the Irish House of Commons. Sometimes, his first name was spelled Peircy.

Early Life and Family

Percy Freke was the oldest son of Sir Ralph Freke, 1st Baronet. His mother was Elizabeth. Her father was Sir John Meade, 1st Baronet.

Percy took over his father's baronet title around 1717. This meant he became the 2nd Baronet in his family.

Education and Studies

Percy Freke went to Christ Church, Oxford, a famous university. He started there on November 27, 1717. He studied hard and earned a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree on May 8, 1721.

A Young Politician

After his education, Percy Freke became a politician. He was elected as a Member of Parliament for Baltimore. This was a special job in the Irish House of Commons. He started this role in 1721.

He served as a Member of Parliament until he passed away. He was only 27 years old when he died in Dublin on April 10, 1728.

Passing on the Title

Sir Percy Freke never married. Because he had no children, his title was passed to his younger brother. His brother, John Redmond Freke, became the next baronet.
