Pere Jaume Borrell i Guinart, known simply as Perejaume, is a famous contemporary artist from Catalonia, Spain. He was born in 1957 in Sant Pol de Mar.

Perejaume taught himself much of what he knows about art. He was greatly inspired by other artists like Joan Brossa. Like Brossa, Perejaume often combines painting with poetry in his unique artworks.

His art explores many interesting ideas. He often looks at how people connect with nature, how society is influenced by what it sees (like in movies or on TV), and how we can look at older, modernist paintings in new ways. Since 1990, Perejaume's art has been shown in many places around the world. These include the Arnolfini Gallery in Bristol, England, the Meyers Bloom Gallery in Santa Monica, California, and the Galeria Joan Prats in Barcelona, Catalonia.

Perejaume has received several important awards for his work. In 2005, he won the Catalan National Prize of Visual Arts. The next year, in 2006, he received the Spanish National Award for Plastic Arts. In 2007, he was honored with the Spanish National Prize of Graphic Arts. These awards show how important his contributions are to the art world.
