Peruque is a small, unincorporated community located in St. Charles County, Missouri, in the U.S. state of Missouri. An "unincorporated community" means it's a place where people live, but it doesn't have its own city government or mayor. Peruque is right next to the mighty Mississippi River, about five miles north of St. Peters, Missouri. You can find it along Missouri Route C. Another small place called McCann Landing, Missouri is just a little southeast along the river.

A long time ago, Peruque was an important stop on a railway line. Because of this, it was also known as Peruque Station. A post office was opened here in 1888, helping people send and receive mail. This post office served the community for many years, finally closing its doors in 1979.
