Peter Exley was born on August 2, 1964, in Harrogate, England. He is an architect who co-founded a design company called Architecture Is Fun. This company is based in Chicago, USA.

Peter Exley's work often involves designing places for kids. Some of his projects include the DuPage Children's Museum and the Exploration Station children's museum. He also designed parts of the Young At Art Museum in Florida. Another important project was a large Ronald McDonald House in Oak Lawn, Illinois. This house provides a place for families to stay while their children are in the hospital.

Peter Exley studied architecture at two universities. In 1985, he earned a degree from Newcastle University School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape. Later, in 1990, he received another degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
