Peter Nicholas Kyros (born July 11, 1925 – died July 10, 2012) was an American lawyer and politician. He served as a Democratic U.S. Representative for Maine. He represented Maine in the United States Congress from 1967 to 1975.

Early Life and Learning
Peter Kyros was born in Portland, Maine. His parents were immigrants from Greece. He went to public schools in Portland. He also studied engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In 1947, he earned a bachelor's degree from the United States Naval Academy. Later, in 1957, he earned a law degree from Harvard Law School.

Kyros served in the United States Navy from 1944 to 1953. He was a brave officer during his time in the Navy. He left the Navy with the rank of lieutenant.
