The Petit lac Malbaie is a freshwater lake in the province of Quebec, Canada. It is located in a wild, forest area called Lac-Pikauba. This lake is also part of the zec des Martres, which is a special area for hunting and fishing. It sits northeast of Grands-Jardins National Park.
You can reach the southern part of Petit lac Malbaie by a forest road. This mountain lake is mainly used for logging, which means cutting down trees. However, over time, more people have started visiting for fun activities like fishing and hiking.
Because it is so high up, the lake usually freezes solid from mid-November to late April. It is safest to walk or play on the ice from early December to mid-April.
