Peña Labra is a cool mountain that stands tall at 2,018 meters (about 6,620 feet) high. It's part of the Cantabrian Mountains System, which is a big mountain range in northern Spain. This mountain is special because it sits right on the border between two areas in Spain: the Province of Palencia and the region of Cantabria.

Peña Labra is also the most western peak of the Alto Campoo Massif. A "massif" is like a big group of mountains that form a single block.

Getting to Peña Labra

If you want to visit Peña Labra, the main starting point is a place called Puerto de Piedrasluengas. A "Puerto" in this case means a mountain pass. This pass is located at an elevation of 1,355 meters (about 4,445 feet).

The Puerto de Piedrasluengas is about 22 kilometers (14 miles) from Potes in Cantabria. It is also about 29 kilometers (18 miles) from Cervera de Pisuerga in Palencia. You can reach this starting point by following the CL-627 road.
