Philip Raymond Hurlic (born December 20, 1927 – died July 7, 2014) was a talented American child actor. He became famous in the 1930s and early 1940s for his roles in many movies.

Philip started acting when he was very young. His first roles were as a toddler in a series called Baby Burlesks. These films also starred a young Shirley Temple, who later became a huge star.

Philip had some important roles in movies. He played Little Jim in The Adventures of Tom Sawyer (1938). He was also Verman Diggs in the Penrod films. Another big role was Zeke in Zenobia (1939).

He also appeared in several Our Gang comedies. In these films, he acted alongside another child actor from his neighborhood, Buckwheat (Billie Thomas).

Retirement and Later Life

Philip Hurlic stopped acting in 1942. By then, he had been in 30 films! He lived a long life. According to his daughter, Zee, Philip passed away peacefully on July 7, 2014. He was surrounded by his family.
