Charles Philip Latham (born January 17, 1929 – died June 20, 2020) was a British actor. He was well known for his many roles on television.
He studied at Felsted School and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. He finished his studies in 1951.

Philip Latham was a familiar face on British TV. He often played serious or important characters.
Famous TV Shows
In the late 1960s and early 1970s, he played Willy Izard in the BBC series The Troubleshooters. Willy Izard was a chief accountant. He was like the "conscience" for a tough oil company boss.
Philip Latham also appeared in many other popular TV shows. These included Danger Man, The Avengers, and The Saint. He was also in UFO and The Professionals.
One of his biggest TV roles was Plantagenet Palliser. He played this main character in the 26-part BBC series The Pallisers. He acted alongside Susan Hampshire in this show.
Doctor Who Role
Fans of Doctor Who might remember him. He played Lord President Borusa in the special 20th-anniversary episode. This episode was called The Five Doctors and aired in 1983.
Film Roles
Philip Latham also acted in several films. He was in the 1966 Hammer film Dracula, Prince of Darkness. In this movie, he played Klove, a mysterious servant of Dracula.
He also worked with Hammer Films on The Devil-Ship Pirates and The Secret of Blood Island. Both of these films were released in 1964. Other films he appeared in include Ring of Spies (1964), Spy Story (1976), and Force 10 from Navarone (1978).
