Picarquín is located in the O'Higgins Region of Chile.

Picarquín is a special place in Chile. It is located in the town of Mostazal, in the northern part of the Libertador General Bernardo O'Higgins Region.

Picarquín is famous for hosting a very large event called the 19th World Scout Jamboree. This big meeting happened in December 1998 and January 1999. About 31,000 young people, both Scouts and Guides, came from all over the world to participate. They camped, learned new skills, and made friends.

Since December 2011, Picarquín has also been the location for Mystery Land Chile. This is a large music festival that brings many people together for fun and music.


What is a World Scout Jamboree?

A World Scout Jamboree is a huge gathering of Scouts and Guides from many different countries. It happens every four years in a different part of the world. Think of it like the Olympics, but for Scouting!
