Pickett's Mill Battlefield Site is a special Georgia state park. It helps us remember an important battle from the American Civil War. This war was fought between the northern (Union) and southern (Confederate) states of America. The park is in Paulding County, Georgia. It covers 765 acres of land.

This historical site lets you see what the battlefield looked like. You can walk on old roads that soldiers used. There are also dirt walls, called earthworks, that soldiers built for protection. An old pioneer cabin from the 1800s is also on the site. A deep valley, called a ravine, is a sad place where many soldiers lost their lives. The park has a visitor center with exhibits and a film. These help you learn more about the battle.

The Battle of Pickett's Mill

The Battle of Pickett's Mill happened on May 27, 1864. This was during the American Civil War. The Union Army was trying to move towards Atlanta. This battle took place just two days after another fight called the Battle of New Hope Church.
