Pidge in Voltron: Defender of the Universe

In the 1984 TV show, Pidge is the youngest and smartest member of the Voltron Lion Force. He is known for his amazing ideas and piloting skills. Pidge flies the Green Lion, one of the five robot lions that combine to form Voltron.

Pidge has a twin brother named Chip. They grew up together on a planet called Balto. Even though he grew up on Balto, Pidge thought of himself as an Earthling. This means he might have been born on Earth or had family from there.

Pidge was part of a scout team sent to Planet Arus. This team was led by Keith. They were captured by the bad guys from Planet Doom but managed to escape.

After their escape, they crashed on Arus. There, they met Princess Allura and Coran. They were asked to become the Voltron Force. Pidge then became the pilot of the Green Lion. He even became good friends with the Space Mice and helped them train.

Pidge faced a tough mission when his home planet, Balto, was in danger. He and the Voltron Force tried to save it, but Balto exploded. They barely escaped a trap set by Prince Lotor.

In the newer series, Voltron: Legendary Defender, Pidge is a teenage girl. Her real name is Katie Holt. She is from Italy.

Katie "Pidge" Holt was a student at the Galaxy Garrison. She was a communications cadet. Now, she is the pilot of the Green Lion for Voltron. Pidge is a very smart fighter and a great hacker. She can invent many cool things.

Pidge disguised herself as a boy named "Pidge Gunderson." She did this to find out what happened to her missing family. She is very loyal to her friends. Pidge is also an independent thinker, meaning she likes to figure things out on her own.

Pidge is shorter and slimmer than the other Paladins. She has brown eyes and light brown hair that looks a bit messy. She wears round glasses, but they don't help her see better. They are just part of her style.

Pidge in the Comics

In the Voltron comic books from 2011, Pidge is called Darrell "Pidge" Stoker. In the comics, Pidge is a 15-year-old boy who is smaller for his age. He is from Earth. This is different from the cartoon where he is from Balto.

The comics say Pidge was left at a convent when he was a baby. He grew up in an orphanage. His high scores on a smartness test caught the attention of a military academy called New West Point. They wanted him to use his amazing computer skills.

Life at the academy was hard for Pidge. But then, Colonel Hawkins asked him to join a special team. This team would search for the legendary robot Voltron on a far-off planet called Arus. Pidge quickly agreed to join the team.
