Voltron Force is an animated TV show that continues the story of the classic 1980s series Voltron. It first aired on June 16, 2011, on the Nicktoons channel. The show finished on April 25, 2012, with its final episode called "Black." In this series, the pilots of the robot lions wear uniforms that match the color of their lions, just like in Voltron: The Third Dimension.
What is Voltron Force About?
The story begins with Daniel (Vincent Tong) explaining the situation:
Evil is back. The Drule King Lotor has returned with a dark energy that can destroy the galaxy. Our only hope, the Voltron Force: A team of five heroic pilots that control five awesome robot lions. When Lotor's monstrous Robeasts attack, the lions come together to form Voltron, Defender of the Universe.
The show focuses on the original Voltron Force heroes reuniting. They also train new cadets to become the next generation of pilots. In battles, they fly their five robot lions. When things get tough, the lions combine to form the powerful robot, Voltron. Their main enemies are their old foe, King Lotor, and a bad military leader named Sky Marshall Wade. Wade wants to destroy Voltron and take over the Galaxy Garrison.

He even briefly attacked the other Voltron Force members while piloting the Black Lion. A second season was planned, but it was never made. The show was canceled because of problems with getting enough money to fund the new episodes.
