Building Design and Features
The idea for this building started in 2013. It was first called The Point. The company Samuels & Associates proposed it. This was the first project in Boston for the architecture firm Arquitectonica. They are based in Miami.
The outside of Pierce Boston is made of glass and metal. It has a special pattern. This pattern is designed to look like the brick buildings nearby. This helps it fit in with the older parts of Boston.
What's Inside Pierce Boston?
The building has many different areas for people to use.
- Floors 1–2: These floors are for shops and restaurants.
- Floors 3–17: These floors have 240 apartments. Some of these apartments are for short-term rentals.
- Floors 19–29: These floors have 109 condominiums. Condos are like apartments, but you own them.
Rooftop Fun
The very top of the building, the 30th floor, has amazing outdoor spaces.
- There is a swimming pool and a hot tub. These are for both apartment and condo residents.
- Condo owners have their own special lounge area. They also have a barbecue spot.
- Some individual condos even have their own private roof decks.
