His Club Career
Piet Fransen started his football journey with a youth club called Velocitas 1897. He then played for their main team for a short time.
His longest and most famous time was with GVAV. This team later became FC Groningen. He played for GVAV from 1957 to 1965. During these years, he played 190 games and scored 41 goals.
After that, he moved to Feyenoord for one season (1965–1966). He played 40 games and scored 6 goals there. He then returned to GVAV (which became FC Groningen) and played for them again from 1967 to 1973. In total, he played 331 games and scored 59 goals in his club career.
