Pinedale (also spelled Pine Dale) is a small community in McKinley County, New Mexico, United States. It is known as an "unincorporated community." This means it's a place where people live, but it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town. In the Navajo language, Pinedale is called Tό Bééhwiisgání.
Pinedale is also famous as the birthplace of Paddy Martinez. He was a Navajo American man. Paddy Martinez discovered a special rock called uranium ore. This discovery led to a big period of uranium mining nearby in Grants, New Mexico.
