Early Life and Training
Piotr finished his studies at the Aleksander Zelwerowicz National Academy of Dramatic Arts in Warsaw in 1981. This is a famous school for actors in Poland.
Acting Career
Piotr Machalica started his acting journey at the Teatr Powszechny w Warszawie. This was a theater in Warsaw. He also had a short career as a singer. In 1986, he won an award at the National Festival of Polish Song in Opole. He was known for singing songs by artists like Bulat Okudzhava and Georges Brassens.
From 2006 to 2018, Piotr was the artistic director of the Teatr im. Adama Mickiewicza w Częstochowie. This meant he helped decide which plays would be performed and guided the theater's artistic choices.
Later Years and Passing
In 2013, Piotr Machalica had an important heart operation that saved his life. Sadly, he passed away from COVID-19 in Warsaw on December 14, 2020. He was 65 years old. His death happened during the COVID-19 pandemic in Poland.
