Music Career with Super Sigg
In 1996, Playa Fly released his first album with Super Sigg, called Fly.... The album featured songs like "Nappy Hair & Gold Teeth," "Da Show," and "Crownin' Me." It also included guest artists like Gangsta Blac, Bill Chill, and others. This album marked the beginning of his work with producer Blackout.
Two years later, in 1998, he released Movin' On. This album included tracks such as "Situation," "Start Runnin," and "Nobody." It also featured his father, Bill Chill, who sadly passed away shortly before the album was finished.
In 1999, Playa Fly released two more projects. The first was Just Gettin' It On, which was a new version of his first independent album. It included songs like "Gettin' It On" and "Just Awaken Shaken." The album also had a bonus track with a music video, which is Playa Fly's only video. Later that year, he released Da Game Owe Me, his last album with Super Sigg Records.
Starting His Own Label
After his time with Super Sigg, Playa Fly started his own record label. He named it Minnie Mae Muzik, after his grandmother. He began working on a new album, Fly2K.
During the making of the album, Playa Fly had to take a break from his music career for a few years. Even though he was away, he still appeared on the album. He recorded some of his rap verses over the phone.
Fly2K was released in November 2002. It had songs like "Bill Chill Lives," a tribute to his father, and "Life Goes On." The album featured many other artists, including Mista Tito and Maimi Miane.
In mid-2006, Fly returned to his music career. He began planning a new album called Mafia All Day. In 2010, he released a single called "Blast Off" from the upcoming album.
