Prophet Entertainment, also known as Prophet Posse, was an independent record label from Memphis, Tennessee. It was started by DJ Paul, Juicy J, and Nicholas "Nick Scarfo" Jackson. From 1991 to 1994, the label helped launch new music artists. They focused on styles like crunk, hip hop, gangsta rap, and horrorcore. The label is thought to have stopped operating around 2009.

History of Prophet Entertainment

Prophet Entertainment was founded in 1991 by DJ Paul, Juicy J, and Nick Scarfo. A famous music group called Three 6 Mafia released their first two albums, Mystic Stylez and Chapter 1: The End, on this label.

Later, DJ Paul and Juicy J had a disagreement with Nick Scarfo. Because of this, they left Prophet Entertainment. They then started their own new label called Hypnotize Minds. Three 6 Mafia also moved with them to the new label. Nick Scarfo later helped an artist named Indo G leave his contract with Hypnotize Minds. There was a legal disagreement between them, but they worked it out without going to court.

In the early 2000s, some artists who used to be with Prophet returned. In 2007, Nick Scarfo brought Prophet Entertainment back. He released a new album called The Return which featured the original Prophet Posse members. Some artists like Gangsta Boo, T-Rock, and Koopsta Knicca worked with Prophet Posse again. The last album released by Prophet was Hood U.S.A. in 2008. Nick Scarfo passed away on August 7, 2015.
