Pokaka is a small area located about 12 kilometers (7.5 miles) south of the village called National Park. You can find it in the Ruapehu District, which is part of the Manawatū-Whanganui region on New Zealand's Central North Island. Pokaka is special because it sits right inside the amazing Tongariro National Park.

These houses originally belonged to the Pokaka Train Station. The train station was important because it helped support a local saw mill nearby.
