Pongaponga facts for kids
The Pongaponga were an Indigenous Australian group. They lived in the Northern Territory of Australia. Some people think they might have been part of the Ngolokwangga group.
Where the Pongaponga Lived
A researcher named Norman Tindale studied their land. He thought their traditional country covered about 200 square miles (518 square kilometers). This area was along both sides of the Daly River. It was a bit inland from the coast. The Wogait people lived closer to the coast.
Other Names for the Pongaponga
Sometimes, the Pongaponga people were known by other names. These included Pongo-pongo and Djiramo.
