Pooch Hall (born February 8, 1976) is an American actor and model. He is well-known for playing Derwin Davis, a football player, in the TV show The Game. He also played Ricky in the 2011 movie Jumping the Broom. Another big role for him was Daryll Donovan in the TV drama Ray Donovan.
In 2016, Hall played the famous boxer Muhammad Ali in the movie Chuck. This film was about Ali's opponent Chuck Wepner and their big boxing match in 1975.

Early Life and Beginnings
Pooch Hall was born Marion H. Hall, Jr. on February 8, 1976. His parents are Marion and Cindy Hall. He grew up in Brockton, Massachusetts. He went to Brockton High School.
While in high school, he was a talented boxer. In 1994, he won the Southern New England Golden Gloves boxing competition. Later, he attended the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. It was there that he first started acting with the university's theater group.
Pooch Hall's Acting Career
Pooch Hall began his career by appearing in commercials and working as a model. His first acting role in a film was in 2001 in a movie called Lift. That same year, he also appeared in Blue Hill Avenue.
Early TV and Film Roles
In 2003, Hall was a co-host for a reality TV show called Girls v. Boys on The N channel. Two years later, in 2005, he played the character Ty'ree in the TV mini-series Miracle's Boys.
The next year, in 2006, he got the role that made him famous: Derwin Davis on the TV show The Game. He also appeared in a music video for the singer Chrisette Michele called "What You Do".
Major TV Shows
Pooch Hall had a repeating role on the CBS comedy show Accidentally on Purpose from 2009 to 2010. He later explained in an interview that his contract for The Game ended. He then looked for new acting jobs.
He landed a role in the Showtime drama series Ray Donovan. He played Daryll Donovan, a main character. Hall made guest appearances in the sixth season and the final episode of The Game.
Recent Movies and Projects
On September 18, 2015, Pooch Hall was cast in the movie A Dog's Purpose. He continues to act in various films and television shows.
Personal Life
Pooch Hall met his wife, Linda, in 1996 when she was a college student. They got married in 1997. Together, they have four children.
