This means it's an area that looks like a town but isn't officially governed as one. Poole is part of the larger Kearney area. In 2010, the population of Poole was 19 people. By 2020, it had grown slightly to 22 people.
History of Poole
Poole was started around the year 1889. It was named after a rancher called W. W. Poole. A post office opened in Poole in 1906. This post office helped people send and receive mail. It stayed open for many years until it closed in 1982.
Geography and Location
Poole is located in the northern part of Buffalo County. It sits on the north side of the South Loup River. The closest town to Poole is Ravenna. Ravenna is about 6 miles (10 kilometers) northeast of Poole.
