This article lists the prime ministers of Uzbekistan (Uzbek: O‘zbekiston bosh vaziri). The role started in 1925 as the chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Uzbek SSR. It has continued to the present day.
The current prime minister is Abdulla Aripov. He took office on December 14, 2016. The Prime Minister's main office is the Government House. It is located on Mustakillik Square in Tashkent.

What the Prime Minister Does
The Prime Minister of Uzbekistan leads the Cabinet of Ministers. This is a group of top government officials. The Prime Minister makes sure the Cabinet works well. They are responsible for its success.
The Prime Minister runs Cabinet meetings. They also approve the decisions made. They represent the Cabinet in talks with other countries. This is done on behalf of the President of Uzbekistan.
The Prime Minister can sign agreements with other governments. These agreements need the President's approval. They also decide how duties are shared among deputy prime ministers. They make choices about how the country is run. This includes things not discussed in Cabinet meetings.
The Prime Minister suggests new Cabinet members to the President. These suggestions must first be approved by the Legislative Chamber. They also suggest who should be governors of different regions. They help government groups work together. They also solve disagreements between them.
Each year, the Prime Minister reports to the Oliy Majlis. This is Uzbekistan's parliament. The report covers how the country is developing. It also talks about future plans. The Prime Minister can give orders and advice. They keep the President updated. If the President is out of the country, the Prime Minister takes over their duties temporarily. If the Prime Minister is away, the First Deputy Prime Minister steps in. Sometimes, another Deputy Prime Minister can take over if everyone agrees.
