Abdulla Nigmatovich Aripov is an important politician from Uzbekistan. He was born on May 24, 1962. Since December 14, 2016, he has been the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan. The Prime Minister is the head of the government, leading the country's daily operations.

Early Roles in Government
In May 2002, Aripov became a Deputy Prime Minister. He was in charge of information and telecommunications technology. This meant he helped manage how people communicated using phones and the internet.
Later, he also oversaw areas like science, education, health, and culture. These are all very important parts of a country's development. He worked in these roles until August 2012.
Becoming Prime Minister
In September 2016, Aripov was again appointed as a Deputy Prime Minister. Just a few months later, in December 2016, he was chosen by the main political party to lead the government.
On December 14, 2016, the parliament officially confirmed him as the Prime Minister. The next day, he formed his own team of government ministers.

As Prime Minister, Abdulla Aripov represents Uzbekistan on the world stage. For example, in August 2024, he visited Kabul. This was a very important visit, as he was the highest-ranking foreign official to go there since 2021.
