Abdulla Aripov was born on May 24, 1962. He is an important politician from Uzbekistan. Since December 14, 2016, he has been serving as the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan. The Prime Minister is like the head of the government, helping to run the country day-to-day.
Aripov is a member of the Uzbekistan Liberal Democratic Party. Before becoming Prime Minister, he also served as a Deputy Prime Minister. He held this role from 2002 to 2012 and again in 2016.

A Political Journey
Early Roles in Government
Abdulla Aripov started his journey in government in 2002. On May 30, 2002, he became a Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan. He was in charge of information and telecommunications. This meant he helped manage things like phones and the internet in the country.
He also became the Director-General of the Communications and Information Agency. Later, from October 2009, he oversaw social areas. This included science, education, health, and culture. He also handled connections with other countries in the CIS.
Becoming Prime Minister
In September 2016, Aripov was again appointed as a Deputy Prime Minister. Just a few months later, on December 12, 2016, the main political party chose him. They wanted him to lead the government.
Two days later, on December 14, the parliament confirmed him as the Prime Minister. The parliament is a group of elected officials who make laws. On December 15, he officially formed his team of ministers, known as his cabinet.
Important Diplomatic Visit
On August 17, 2024, Prime Minister Aripov made a significant trip. He visited Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan. This visit was very important because he was the highest-ranking foreign official to go there. This happened after the Taliban took control of Afghanistan in 2021.
About His Life
Abdulla Aripov is married and has five daughters. He has received special awards from his country. These awards are called “Do’stlik” (Friendship) and “Mehnat shuhrati” (Labor Glory). They recognize his hard work and service to Uzbekistan.
