Prince Coffee is a popular coffee shop located in Portland, Oregon, in the United States. It is known for its unique drinks and tasty treats.
About Prince Coffee
Prince Coffee was started by owner Katie Prinsen. She opened the first shop in the Kenton neighborhood of north Portland in 2016. The shop quickly became a favorite spot for locals.
What's on the Menu?
When Prince Coffee first opened, it served special coffees from Coava and Roseline. They also offered delicious stroopwafels. These are thin, crispy waffle cookies with a sweet caramel filling.
At the grand opening on April 9, 2016, Prince Coffee gave away 200 free stroopwafels. This helped many people discover the new shop. Later, the menu grew to include other items. These included mochas made with Proud Mary and Roseline coffee, and Cloudforest chocolate. They also offered kombucha, which is a fizzy, fermented tea.
Shop Design and Style
Prince Coffee is famous for its cool and inviting look. Willamette Week described it as an "extremely photogenic" place. The design is inspired by Dutch styles, giving it a unique feel. It also has a "Scandinavian minimalist" look, which means it's clean, simple, and very stylish.
Growing Locations
In 2018, a fire caused some damage to the beautiful Beaumont location of Prince Coffee. But the shop quickly reopened its doors to customers.
Prince Coffee continued to grow. In June 2019, a new location opened in the Schoolhouse area of northwest Portland. This allowed even more people to enjoy their coffees and treats.
Prince Coffee remains a beloved spot in Portland. It is known for its delicious drinks, tasty stroopwafels, and welcoming atmosphere.
