Prince William is a small place in Indiana, United States. It's called an unincorporated community. This means it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town. Instead, it's part of a larger area. Prince William is located in Democrat Township, which is part of Carroll County.
This community was one of the first two villages when Democrat Township was officially set up in May 1835. It was given its name in honor of Prince William, Duke of Cumberland. A post office served Prince William for many years, but it closed down in 1881.
