Princess Alexia of the Netherlands (born Alexia Juliana Marcela Laurentien on 26 June 2005) is a member of the Dutch royal family. She is the second daughter of King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima.
As the king's second child, Princess Alexia is second in the line of succession to the Dutch throne, right after her older sister, Princess Catharina-Amalia.

Early Life and Family
Princess Alexia was born in The Hague, a major city in the Netherlands. She was born at HMC Bronovo hospital. Her parents are King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima.
A few months after her birth, on 19 November 2005, she was baptized in a church in Wassenaar. Her godparents include her uncle, Prince Friso, and Queen Mathilde of Belgium.
Education
Schooling in the Netherlands
Princess Alexia started her education at a public elementary school called Bloemcampschool in Wassenaar.
From 2017 to 2021, she went to a high school in The Hague called the Christelijk Gymnasium Sorghvliet.
Studying Abroad
In August 2021, Princess Alexia moved to Wales to attend the United World College of the Atlantic. Her father, King Willem-Alexander, also went to this school when he was a teenager. She graduated in 2023 with an International Baccalaureate Diploma, which is a special diploma recognized around the world.
In 2024, she began studying at University College London (UCL) in England. She first enrolled in a program for science and engineering for social change. Later that year, she switched her major to civil engineering.
Princess Alexia is multilingual and can speak Dutch, English, and Spanish.
Skiing Accident
In February 2016, Princess Alexia had an accident while on a skiing trip with her family in Austria. She broke her right femur, which is the large bone in the thigh.
She was quickly taken to a nearby hospital by helicopter. Doctors performed surgery to fix the broken bone. After spending a few days in the hospital, she was able to go home but had to use crutches to help her walk while she recovered.
Titles and Honours
Princess Alexia's official title is Her Royal Highness Princess Alexia of the Netherlands, Princess of Orange-Nassau.
As a member of the royal family, she has received special awards called honours. On her 18th birthday, 26 June 2023, she was awarded two of the highest honours in the Netherlands:
