Propel Water is a popular brand of flavored bottled water from the United States. It's known for having extra good stuff like antioxidants and vitamins. Propel is part of the Gatorade family and is sold by PepsiCo, a big company that makes many drinks.

What's Inside Propel Water?

Propel Water contains several ingredients that give it flavor and add nutrients. Besides water, you'll find things like:

  • Vitamins: It has important vitamins such as Vitamin C, Vitamin B3 (niacinamide), Vitamin E, Vitamin B5 (calcium pantothenate), and Vitamin B6. These help your body work well.
  • Flavor: Natural flavors and citric acid give Propel its taste.
  • Sweeteners: To make it taste sweet without adding sugar, Propel uses sweeteners like sucralose and acesulfame potassium.
  • Other ingredients: Things like sodium citrate and potassium citrate help balance the drink.

The Story of Propel Water

Propel Fitness Water first came out in the year 2000. It was created by PepsiCo.

New Products and Changes

In 2006, Gatorade introduced Propel Calcium, which had added calcium. That same summer, they also launched Propel powder packets. These small packets contain a dry mix that you can add to a bottle of water to make your own Propel drink. In 2010, Propel powder with Calcium also became available.

Bottle Design Updates

Around 2009, Gatorade changed the design of the Propel bottles. The new bottles were made to use 20% less plastic, which is better for the environment.

Focus on Zero Calories

In 2011, Gatorade decided to stop making the original Propel that used some sugar. Instead, they focused completely on "Propel Zero." This version only uses artificial sweeteners and has no calories.
