The Prunus obtusata is a type of bird cherry tree. It is also known as 细齿稠李 in Chinese and 台灣稠李 in Traditional Chinese. This tree grows naturally in places like Tibet, southern China, and Taiwan.

You can usually find Prunus obtusata growing in high places. It prefers areas between 800 and 3,600 meters (about 2,600 to 11,800 feet) above sea level. These trees can grow quite tall, typically reaching heights of 6 to 20 meters (about 20 to 65 feet).

Its flowers grow in clusters called racemes. These flowers have white petals, making the tree look beautiful when in bloom. After the flowers, the tree produces small, black fruits.
