Ewanya "Puff" Johnson (born December 10, 1972 – died June 24, 2013) was a talented American R&B singer and songwriter. She was born in Detroit, USA. Puff Johnson became known for her popular songs like "Forever More" and "Over and Over. These songs were very successful in Europe and Australia. They were part of her only album, Miracle, released in 1996.
Later, she also wrote songs for other artists. She moved to South Africa and started working on a second album, but it was never released. Sadly, Puff Johnson was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2008 and passed away from the illness in 2013.

Early Life and Music Beginnings
Puff Johnson was born on December 10, 1972, in Detroit, Michigan. She grew up in Los Angeles, California. From a young age, she loved to sing and dance. She even had special training for her voice.
When she was just 13 years old, Puff Johnson signed her first music deal with Motown Records. However, she decided not to record music at that time because it was a big commitment. A few years later, she worked as an assistant choreographer for a music video. She also sang backup for other artists like Christopher Williams.
Music Career
Puff Johnson started her music career by performing songs for special albums. In 1994, she sang "What Child Is This" for a Christmas album. The next year, she sang "Someday We'll All Be Free" for a movie soundtrack. She also appeared on a song called "Me Against the World" by the famous rapper Tupac Shakur.
In 1996, she signed with Work Group and worked hard on her first album, Miracle. Her first song from the album was "Forever More". It was very popular in New Zealand, reaching number five on the music charts. Another song, "Over and Over," was featured in the movie The First Wives Club. This song became a big hit in Europe and Australia. It reached the top ten in Norway and the top 20 in the United Kingdom. Her album Miracle also did well, reaching number seven in Norway.
In 1997, Puff Johnson toured Europe. She was an opening act for the legendary Michael Jackson and the group 3T. After this, she didn't release new music for a while.
Songwriting and Life in South Africa
In the early 2000s, Puff Johnson started writing songs for other musicians. She helped write songs for artists like I-20 and Leela James.
In 2009, she moved to South Africa after performing a concert in Johannesburg. She began working on her second album there with local music producers. She recorded several songs, but the album was never officially released.
Personal Life and Health
Puff Johnson was engaged to a music producer named Alarza Lee "Kip" Collins Jr., who passed away in 2006. Later, she met singer Ishmael Morabe in South Africa, and they dated for about two years.
In March 2008, Puff Johnson was diagnosed with cervical cancer. She bravely fought the illness for five years. Sadly, she passed away on June 24, 2013, at the age of 40.
